Usualy we have snow from the end of November until May and Sälengården is in walking distance of the start of Vasaloppet and there are good possibilities for pre-season training and cross country skiing.

DOWNHILL

Kläppen, with 34 slopes and a new cable car is the closest of the downhill slopes, just 7 kilometers away.

Lindvallen is fifteen minutes away and Sälfjällstorget twenty.

Dalskidan in Östra Långstrand also have a very advanced waxing machine for both downhill and cross country skis.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Less than ten minutes away at Tjärnheden, Sälen Sports Club has its 10 kilomter electric light trail for cross country skiing.
Hemfjällstangen and Kläppen also have fine trails for cross country skiing.

SNOWMOBILE

In the area there 450 K trails for riding snowmobile and you can start your tour at our parking and 150 meters away there is a gas station.

FISHING

The Transtrand fishery conservation area offer good possibilities for fishing for trout, arctic char, rainbow trout, grayling, perch and, monstrous pike!

Note that some waters is on the Lima area.

Don't be surprised if you get company from curious mountain cows on your fishing trip.
